This Kaiser was NOT the one involved in World War I. That was Kaiser Wilhelm II. This is the Prussian monarch who united Germany in the 19th century. Perhaps the smartest thing he did was appoint Bismarck as chancellor. Called “The Iron Chancellor”, Bismark oversaw turning Germany into a powerhouse economy.
What attracted me to this picture was the eerie lighting.
