Wasps are carnivores — they eat caterpillars, but they do drink nectar from flowers to quench their thirst and get energy. They are called “potter” wasps because many varieties build their nests of mud in the shape of pots.
This might be a metricus paper wasp but I think not because the legs are quite long. But I could be wrong.
